In 1980, after earning my certification, I proudly became a 2nd Cook at the Bolling NCO Club while also accepting a position at Marriott Twin Bridges. For six years, I balanced both roles, sharpening my skills, fueling my love for hospitality, and laying the foundation for a lifelong career.
Over the past 40 years in the hospitality industry, I’ve had the privilege of meeting and working alongside people from all walks of life. Beyond my hotel career, I dedicated nine years to the Society for Government Meeting Professionals/National Capital Chapter Board, serving two terms as Treasurer and two terms as Director of Community Outreach and Membership. I also served for four years as a member of the Advisory Board for HSMAI.
